I have a Remington 870 Sportsman 12 Magnum. Ive done alot of research and cant seem to find any info this model. I ve tried to buy some replacement parts and I can find parts for the 870 Express, 870 special, 870 P, supermag etc. Whats the difference in models as far internal parts go....?

I need a new bolt, and elevator spring and plunger.

The parts from the Express Magnum or Wingmaster magnum will work in your gun- it's a magnum receiver 870 with a brushed finish, is all.

I refinished the whole firearm in KG Gun Kote. When I was sandblasting all of the parts They all came out real nice. The bolt for some reason got VERY pitted. It looks like swiss cheese. I do not know why it did this. Even the aluminum trigger housing was fine. But the bolt got ruined. It still works though, just looks like it had been rusting for a hundred years before I painted it.

Nice recovery on the bolt, man, that was strange. I use KG gunkote A LOT, I use the gear coat for shotgun and M4 bolt carriers and it works great, it may not be the color you want but it works real good.
