Picked up a nice AMSEC gunsafe about three ears ago and have finally ran out of storage room in it. Still have a great deal of space avaiable but need to make better use of whats here rather than buying larger or another safe. Have any of you modified your gun safe to make it more user friendly. Pics appreciated.

Have changed mine three or four times.....may redo it again. Hanging items from the door will help the most. Made brackets that can hold holsters and knives, added fabric covered strip magnets to secure the extra barrels. Made fabric covered 14 gauge shelves that attach to the bottom of existing shelving. Maybe photos will help explain it better....
I don't know...seems just a little too organized for my tastes. Just kidding!;) That's awesome dude!

Is the handgun rack vinyl coated?

Rack is vinyl coated with/rubber tips on the wire ends to protect barrels. Don't remember where I got it, maybe Cabela's?

I bought two of them through Dunhams. They work very nicely.
Nice safe. Straight lines...almost everything at precise 90 degree angles... :D Although, that one case looks to me to be about 89 degrees, and the one knife isn't quite level. <<running for cover now...I know, paybacks>>

Nice looking safe. I do like the pistol rack and the Heston sticker. Also like idea of door storage. Really helps expand siafe.

I use plastic/rubber coated dish drying racks purchased at Walmart for $4 each. Holds six medium framed handguns upside-down perfectly - like that's what it was made for. Light, durable, and cheap.
Similar to the pictures above, a better use of space and at only $4 I'm guessing as cheap or cheaper.

Thanks everyone, right now I have a handgun per shelf with ammo, too many different calibers!

Where did you get the strip magnets from?

Most hardware stores carry the strip magnets.....I wrapped them with fabric to prevent marring finishes.
