Which is better, Burris Timberline or Short Mag?

I'm looking at a new 2-7 x 26 Burris Timberline or 2-7 x 26 Short Mag. I can either for about the same price. I understand the Short Mag has been discontinued, which doesn't bother me. Any opinions as to which is better?

I am sure both are great.
But...The short mag is American made and the Timberline is an Asian import that you can bet has put some poor souls at the Burris factory out of work.
If that means anything to any one in these tough economic times.
To the Timberlines credit at least it isnt made in that dog eating Chinese police state.
