I'm looking at getting a GP100 3" in SS. I had a SP101 2" in the past and know how great Rugers are.

My question is, has anyone bought from a dealer who uses Davidsons? Is it really worth paying a little extra for a lifetime guarantee? The price is $400.

I order most of my guns now through Davidsons. I've never had an opportunity to test the warrenty though.

As far as the dealership I go through, if you go in and order a gun via the owner, he adds 5% over Davidson's price. Or, you can type in your zip code, and order a gun on-line, and you get what seems to be a pretty good deal to me.

I just looked up a 3" SP-101, and the quoted price is $361...sounds like a pretty good deal. I know a year ago, I walked in to a store near me and paid $440(Tax included) for a 2" SP-101...now I do more shopping around.

Here is a NIB, three-inch, stainless GP-100 (KGPF-330) from a dealer who has a fine reputation (on Gun Broker) for $318. By the way, Ruger is good about providing an informal but effective lifetime warrantee for their products, so the Davidson’s guarantee may be redundant.
