Oregon trail sent me a sample of some laser cast round nose bullets. I have data for the 230grn round nose, but they sent the 200grain round nose.

Anybody have an OAL listed for these? I have the powder in them right now.

Any particular caliber you're interested in?

If my guess of .45 ACP is correct, 1.260" works well for me.

One at random out of a bag here was 1.262" OAL.

It has a shoulder like a semiwadcutter and can be treated like one. Load .015" - .025" of shoulder above the case mouth and chamber check to see if it headspaces on the shoulder of the bullet with the case head flush with the barrel hood. Tweak to make it so for best accuracy.

The Lasercast RN's that I have don't have shoulders. Profile just like jacketed ball.

Oh, yeah. .452/.45ACP.

The ones they sent me have a shoulder too. I kinda wanted some without shoulders since feeding was the whole issue that made me give them a try.

I seated to 1.260 since that's what they had listed for the 230 grain LRN.

Since they are shoulderless, and since I think I solved my feeding problem with more crimp, it's probably a dead-end anyway.

I'll shoot up the half dozen they sent, because hey, free bullets.
