Where or what kind of shoulder holster setup can you get w/o spending much money?

Thanks

1st, open or concealed carry?

There aren't a lot of "cheap" concealed carry shoulder rigs. They require different grades of leather for the holster vs. the straps, and lots of adjustability. All of this design and material demands come at a price.

And they also aren't comfortable or practical unless you are detective or such and can take off your jacket at work and then put it on when leaving the office. They are generally hot and uncomfortable.

Open carry is a different story.

For over the shirt, under a jacket the least expensive will be nylon. I've seen these from around $25.00 to about $45.00.

If you want one for under the shirt they make a white on that looks like a T-shirt starting at $35.50.

The Safariland "Gun Quick" (http://www.safariland.com/product.aspx?pid=1090) is about a C-note. (Note: it is not suitable for a single-action "cocked and locked" or grip-safety-equipped pistol.)

High Noon Under Armor (http://highnoonholsters.com/Product_Line/Under_Armor/under_armor.html) is from their "budget" line.

If you want leather then here is a nice one and it's only $80.00 plus it comes with the tie down straps that so many others make you pay extra for.

If you don't have a 1911 here's one that you can get for most brands for $107.00 with tie down.

I just went to E-Bay today and purchased 3 CC T-shirts with the elastic holster sewn in for $20.00 ea. and free shipping.

Sometimes it pays to shop around. ;)

Over the years I've picked up 2 Galco Miami Specials on ebay for under $80. One for a 1911 and one for a J-frame. Wore one of them every day under an open Hawaiian shirt or coat depending on the weather for 5 years driving a taxi - never had any use for the tie downs - if I had the rig adjusted right.
