High Power 223 load question

for those of you who shoot two or more of these bullets with the same powder from different yard lines:
69g SMK
75g whatever
77g SMK
80g SMK
how much does your powder charge vary between bullets? e.g. 24.3g for 80g 25g for 69g would be .7g difference
i'm particularly interested in the difference in 75 or 77g and one of the larger or smaller bullets

I shoot 24.5 grs N140 with a 75 Hornady and 23.5 grs N140 with a 80 Sierra. And that is about the only combination of different bullet and same powder that I have.
The Hornady bullets shoot great, and cost less, so I bought a bunch of their 68’s and 75’s. Most people spend more for the 77 SMK’s, hard to say that they are all that better, if at all.
What you are really missing is that barrels and primers make more of a difference than bullet/powder combinations. In my Krieger barreled space gun, I have to cut my loads by several grains, or primers get pierced. When I bought 5000 of the “new brass finish” WSR primers, I had to cut my loads by several grains, or the primers pierced.
Shooting loads down an Armalite chrome lined barrel, loads that are perfectly fine in a Wilson/Douglas match barrel, I had pierced primers.
HP shooters are pushing the envelope with their AR loads. Change guns, change loads.

You'll have to become a member of the National Match US board to see some of these threads and sites, but here are a number of people discussing what you are interested in:

If you search around that site, you'll find a lot more threads where somebody mentions different bullets for short and long, but the same powder. Most seem to work out a load for their heavy bullet, then just use the same charge for their lighter bullet. They are pushing the envelope with their heavy bullet, but not their lighter bullet.
I use different powders, because I can't seem to make one work for 69's and 80's.

John Holliger's loads show his ranges for 69s and 80s...note there''s a big difference in OAL as the 80s are for single loading.

interesting! thanks for the resources guys!
i've been shooting the 69g and 80g SMKs for years in my HP gun, but i bought 2000 of the 75g OTM bullets (maybe made by prvi, i can't remember) from wideners or somebody last year and am just getting around to loading them up. I want to shoot them at 3gun matches on stages that are >200 yrds
