A little over six months ago I posted here and got some great feedback from several members on ACOGs.

The wife has officially given me a green light on picking one of these up so I'm down to the moment here and wanted to run something by you guys.

I have had my eyes on the TA31RCO. I figure if it's good enough for the marines and army it's good enough for me.

One thing that has been bothering me is I keep seeing in the literature for it that the bullet drop is calibrated for 14.5" barrels.

I'll be putting this on a Noveske Recce with a 16" barrel - so does this mean it would be an improper choice for the rifle?

I got even more confused when looking around and saw what appears to be the same model listed here http://www.botachtactical.com/trtarisc.html except they say it's calibrated for a 16" barrel.

I just don't want to drop $1,100.00 without being 100% sure and I know you guys know your stuff.

Sorry if this is a dumb question; I'm a bit paranoid and want to be sure I'm making the right choice.

Also, any arguments against the TA31RCO as my choice?

Thanks a lot!

I think they are over-priced, but still very good optics.

Don't buy from BOtachtactical though, find a better seller.
