Has anybody fired Winchester Universal 20g 2 3/4" 7/8oz 7 1/2 shot?
It's what my local wallyworld carries @ $20 / 100

seems like a better deal than anything i can find online
any thoughts?

Yeah. Get the Federal or Remington bulk shells at Wally World instead.

Remingtons are a tad more expensive, but they're the cleanest. Federals should be priced near the Universals, but they're also great shells, just a little dirtier than the Remington Sport loads.

I've never used the Universal 20s, but I've used the 12s. Once. Never again. They don't fit reliably in some guns, like the 870.

I agree completely. The Winchester hulls seem to be reliably "sticky" in many chambers.

I have shot two or three thousand of them through a 1100 and 11-87 Remington with maybe only 2 problems, and both time was after I had shot 200 or more between cleanings. Go spend the 20 bucks and try a box, decide for your self.

The Win Universal (aka SuperX aka SuperSpeed) shells work ok in my 1100s and A5s, but not in my 870s and various SxSs unless I take the time to polish the chambers first. The Fed and Remington Sport Load offerings at WallyWorld are a far better shell for about the same cost.
