I'm looking for something to hold approx. 10 rifles. I can't afford anything high dollar, and just want a little extra security. Is there anything out there that holds full cases? I have about 5 full cases that could be put in, as we have a bit of a humidity problem. If not, what is good just for holding individual rifles and a little extra visual deterrance?

Homak makes a line of steel locking cabinets, that work quite well. I used one for years before buying a 'real' safe.

Homak.com redirects to these guys, don't know their business relationship - http://www.milcompass.com/singlesafejump.htm

I use a Homak for my 'cheap" safe. Cost around $100 IIRC, and also important, its light enough to be carried upstairs by 2 people.

Won't stop a determined thief with time and a metal cutting tool, but will keep the kiddies and crazies out.

Where did you get your Homak from Dave? All of the ones on the site above look to be fairly expensive and heavy.

Go to a local walmart if you want to buy one of those Homaks. Mine has that 8 gun for 80 bucks. And you wont have to pay shipping.

The 8-gun will fit 10, but it won't be pretty, and the cabinet weighs ~75lbs.

And I've seen them at sporting goods and gun stores in L.A. County for $119-129.

Wal*Mart around here doesn't stock any of the things like it, only safes. Same thing with any gun stores, unfortunately.
