At this time it looks like we'll have 4 stages: 2 pistol, 1 rifle and 1 shotgun.

for the carbine/rifle stage, pistol caliber carbines and mid-range rifle caliber (.223, 7.62 Russian) are fine.
For the shotgun stage, bring #6 shot or smaller.
For more information, download the 3-Gun Flyer

There will be a reverse raffle, lots of prized donated by local companies (for more on that see GTA website (http://gta.hn.org) front page.

There will also be trophies for the top of each class (pistol, rifle, shotgun).

I have never been to anything like this before. I plan on taking a vacation day so that I can go to this. Several questions. How late will this run? Is a .22 semi-auto rifle enough for the "carbine" part? Is a pump shot gun OK? What size barrel? Will a Glock 26 fit the bill? Is there someone in the Canton area who could give me a little training or familiarization on the event, rules and the etiquite. I will pay for range time or whatever is needed or supply a place to shoot.

Thanks.

We usually close registration at 2pm, so that everybody can finish up before it's too late. I'm usually there till 5ish.

As far as I know, it'll be paper target so that should be fine. If there are any steel plates, I'm sure a hit will be okay (may not knock down, but you outta hear it).
Is a pump shot gun OK? What size barrel?
Yup, any size barrel you wanna shoot with. I'll be using a 870 pump with an 18" myself.
Will a Glock 26 fit the bill?
Yup, that'll work fine. At least one of our guys has been shooting a 26 in events off and on. You may have to put up with my wife calling it cute though:D

We have a club shoot on Thursday evenings after 5ish, guests are welcome to come out and see what we do. I'm sure one of our S.O. would be glad to show you the ropes. You can get directions to the range at GTA Directions (http://gta.hn.org/viewarticle-7.html). It can be difficult to follow, but if necessary I could meet you somewhere and you could follow me in.

No need to, come on down for a Thursday.. We should be shoooting tomorrow, if you are going to go let me know (and tell me your regular name ;-) and I'll let the folks who tend to be there early know your coming.

You can expect a warm welcome, all our shooters are very friendly.
