A friend gave me a Side by Side 12ga Stoeger shotgun. I am needing a Butt Pad for it. Can any of you point me to the place to buy one that will fit like a glove?
Thanks

What are you looking for? Hard plastic, leather, rubber screw-on, rubber slip-on?

Yes. Brownells sells Pachmyrs that slip on. Just like a glove. If you want one to screw on and fit perfectly, you are going to have to have it fitted.

PotatoJudge great questions. I will have to admit I am not very knowledgeable on shotguns. I want something that will take up some of the recoil. I am assuming rubber. I do not want a slip on I don't think.
Virginian do you suggest the slip on?

I used the slip on and it worked well. Removed the original factory hard butt plate so it didn't change the length of pull too much. I did not want to spend $35 for a pad and $45 to have a recoil pad fitted to a $250 shotgun, but that's just me. If you want a Limbsaver or Supercell, it's your money.

Thanks a lot. I am learning about this shotgun, but sure is fun.

Stoeger may sell pre-fit pads. It's worth giving them a call. The slip on pads are too "sticky" for fast shotgun work (as are most of the fitted ones), IMO. The lace-on leather ones are nice and slick, but run $30-40.

I looked at their website. I pay give them a call and see if they have anything.

I have been corrected. I actually need a RECOIL PAD :( Mark down as being a newbie.
