I am looking for a realtively light load for my 9mm. I am using 124 gr Berry's Flat Nose bullets. I am using Tight Wad powder.
Anyone use this combo? What amount of powder are you using? What kind of luck have you had?

You mean Titewad, not Titegroup, right? I haven't seen any pistol data using Titewad but a lot of the IPSC/IDPA guys swear by Accurate/Scot S1000 which is also a shotgun powder. It looks like Titewad is a very fast powder so you might have trouble making the power factor (>1009 fps) with that bullet. A 147gr might work but I'd still be worried about a possible pressure spike.
If you are starting out, I'd suggest picking up a lb. of Titegroup and try running 4-4.2gr. It's a cheap, clean powder that lots of competitive shooters use and more importantly there is official load data from a lot of reputable sources for that combo.
Otherwise, you might want to ask around Brian Enos' forum: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showforum=72

Ah yes. I mixed up the two. I am the Tight Wad, but I bought the powder Titegroup!
Thanks for the correction!!

Even TightGroup has it's issues. It smokes so much the guys with compensators look like steam engines running around. It's also a very hot powder and, from what I've read, not a great one to use with lead... which makes even more smoke.
For an easy push try something along the speeds of 231, HP38 or N330.

FYI, W231 and HP38 are the the same powder.
W231 w/ 4.2-4.4gr seemed to have less recoil than Titegroup but to me it also seemed a tad bit dirtier. Maybe I'm crazy. I don't have a chronograph so it's hard to do a real comparison. I haven't tried N330 but W231 and Titegroup meter better than N320.

4.0 of Titegroup and a good hardcast 124-gr lead RN bullet are the magic load for me right now in my 9mm's.

The best “minor” 9mm load I have shot (and currently use) is 3.1 of VV N310 with Berry’s 147 loaded to 1.160”. With the same 147 3.1-3.2 of TiteGroup should get you to PF with only slightly more perceived recoil.

I've seen several people say that, but so far seen no conclusive proof. But since they are sold under 2 different names I'll continue to name them both.
