Sorry, but I don't have the secret decoder ring today. What is this telling us?

What is this telling us?
It should be obvious ...

The PCD and the RFM are greater than the LRT and the TLA,
so therefore the VXW is not the contributing factor for the KPZ.

Any more questions .... ? :D

But don't you all understand? We need cars to go to work, school, parties, etc. We don't need guns, all they do is kill people!

Here's what I got from the CDC's website:

43,354 '00 vehicle deaths

28,663 '00 firearms deaths

http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/pdf/nvsr50_15t33.pdf

Bottom line is that motor vehicles are more dangerous than
guns & we should ban them for the safety of all. Right?

How many deaths as a result of justifiable self defense are included in the 43,354 vehicle deaths? How many of the 28,663 firearm deaths?

It's always the follow-up question that gets you. :neener:

Thats the problem, they dont tell you detail, like how many folks were gang bangers or drug dealers, how many shootings by the police or law abiding citizens defending themselves.

Those statistics also include all police shootings.

Just like Mark Twain said:

There are lies.

There are Damned lies.

Then there are statistics.

I have a question. And I will put the answer on my "Liars use statistics page"! :)

First the subquestions:
Questions: How many firearm deaths, NOT law enforcement officer shooting perp, in 2002 in the USA?
Or in 2000: 28,663. OK.

How many LEO shootings resulting in death were there in the same year?

Total population of the USA in the same year?

Total LEO's in that same year?

OK, no wwe do some math:

Divide total 'criminal firearm deaths' by the population and we see the chance that each and every person we meet will not only be a criminal but will kill you with a firearm.

Then divide the the total 'LEO firearm deaths' by the total number of LEO's to get the chance that each and every LEO you meet will kill you.

Now we can FINALLY answer the question of who is more dangerous to society.

(sarcasm)

Just for giggles, i'd like to do that math. i guess i just dont care enough to generate misleading statistics to do it.

The GRF is never revealed in the "death" numbers either. With GRF factored in, firearms deather would be 1/20th as large.
