Easy money.

That is a S&W Model 59.

Drats, I was going to say 39.

The model 39 had a curved backstrap. The one on the 59 was straight... :scrutiny:

How can anyone doubt one who knows everything?? :D

Oh I don't doubt you a bit, just my first notion was that it was a 39. Clearly I need to go to the school of pistol put on by Old Fuff.

Gee....

I wonder if there's any money to be made in running something like that....... ?

How are your marketing skills?

Some sort of mung wood aftermarket grips replacing the plastic, though.

Internet Shooters are too cheap to pay for the years of experience and volumes of paper references people like Fuff draw on.

having reference material is good

knowing which bit of material contains the answer is gooder

actually finding it is priceless

I would have to agree with early S&W 59 series. Its the rear sight that gives it away.

Well I think I'm as crooked as the best of them...

Concerning the model 59 (and 39 so far as that goes) it helps to have been anround when they were first introduced.

Can't compete with you there either. Been plenty of pistols introduced since 1986, but many of them are take-offs of previous designs.
