Sunday we had revolver night at our IDPA club.I used my SP101,I wasn't going to ,but 2 other guys had 5 shots so I did.There was my SP,a 9mm j-frame,a 38 airweight,a 686 ,2 66's ,a 15(?),and 2 guys who didn't have revolvers used autos(Kimber and Ruger 45's)
It was great using the little guy.....lot's of reloading but I wasn't alone.I usually shoot my SP at the range and have been shooting it alot lately and it showed.Aside from 1 no light stage where I shot horrible(I'm not good w/ a flash light) I think I may have gotten 1 or 2 down all night.I'll know exactly when they email me the results this week.
The Sp held it's own......although I liked the 9mm j-frame.
All in all I know I made the right decision with the SP as my carry gun....I think I'll use it more at IDPA than I have.(this was my second time)...
if you guys are into IDPA try a revolver night,it's lots of fun....
oh yeah,I also borrowed a buddies speedloaders,the one's you push it(no turning)I NEED these..........where can I get them???

Your local sporting goods shop might have the .38 Special speedloaders. Check if the SP has its own model or uses Smith K frame speedloaders.

If not Midway USA and Mid South Shooter's Supply have speedloaders for lots of revolvers.

Dillon sells Bianchi Speed Strips through its catalog, The Blue Press.
I have found it difficult to carry speedloaders but the strips work well for me.

Nope, the SP-101 is a five-shooter.

Try Brownell's

www.brownells.com

Safariland Comp I for S&W 'J' frame part # 797-200-007 $11.00 ea. These are the ones with the small knob. Brownells didn't list the comp II for the 'J' frame.

Got the results last night ....I did pretty good...of the 3 of us w/ 5 shot guns I came in second.....about 15 sceonds behind the first guy and 4 seconds better than the 3rd guy.....both guys are great shots and I'm not really sure how I beat the one guy....now that I think about it it was new gun for him.A j frame in 9mm...nice little gun,I think he had it made for him,I'm not sure if S/w has a 9mm j frame...anyway looks like revolver night will be a semi-regular thing......I need a 686.....Christmas is coming....:D
