Has anyone any experience of the plastic holster made by Glock for their pistols?

It's cheap and looks a bit flimsy in the photos.

I was just wondering if it was a viable option.

The plastic is pretty tough actually (suspect it is similar to what the frames are made out of).

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe it's not so bad after all.

It doesn't feel like the same material as the frames, but it is not really flimsy at all and is a very tight holster, I mean it really does a great job holding the pistol in close, and I feel that it goes well with Glocks. Basically the same concepts behind the Glock pistols, utility and function above all else, is behind the holster. Looks kind of cheesy but I hvae one and I really like it.

And at twelve or fifteen dollars you really can't go wrong. There are better holsters out there but not anywhere near the same price range.

Thanks.

That's reassuring.:)

It is what I use for everyday carry. It holds the pistol high and close against the body. It does a very good job of retaining the weapon and it has "wings" that completely cover the trigger. If the gun is not pulled straight up it won't come out. It has bars that you cut out to make it fit just about any belt.

I have 2 for the G19 and G26, and 2 more for the G29. For the money, you just can't beat them. I am a huge fan.

Get one, you can't really go far wrong for $14.00, and I bet you won't need to look any further.

I will admit that I keep a Fobus paddle for both frames (9mm and 10mm) in my trunk just in case I need to get one on and/or off quickly.

There is a recent thread on GlockTalk with many posters singing the praises of this holster. As a matter of fact, I ordered 2 today.

I got one as a bonus with my Glock and decided to keep it. My Glock "snicks" into place with the trigger completely covered when inserted, and glides right out when you draw.

Not sure about the Glock supplied holster, but Fobus makes some inexpensive functional kydex holsters. I have several for my difference Glock that I use in IDPA matches.

The cheap Glock plastic holster is great. I had several Glock holsters for my G26; but the last firearms course I did where we used Glocks, I used a friend's plastic Glock holster and it was better than any of the Glock holsters I owned (and paid probably a combined $140 or so for). I keep meaning to get one for myself; but always forget to do it because I don't shoot the Glock that often.
