Viva El PC!!!

While reading the latest issue of the "Rifleman", I suddenly came to realize that the sheer title of that magazine ist one of the worst cases of sexual discrimination, I've ever seen!!!
Female shooters should be outraged!!!
It is shocking that the publisher of that renowned magazine is so horribly insensitive that he fails to change the title to "Rifleperson".
That inexcusable offence against basic decency and equal rights for women caused me a great deal of mental anguish!
Therefore I intend to sue the NRA for damages.
Do you think 1.000.000.000.000 Dollars is a reasonable amount?
Does anybody know a clever lawyer who can win this case?
Or let's start a class action against the NRA! Who wants to join???
Let's loot 'em bastards!!!
Greetings from the greedy Kraut

For those of us non-non-Americans here, that's $1,000,000,000,000, or one trillion dollars. A little much, no? And besides, shouldn't we be letting the NRA at least keep what money it has, even though they may not agree with EVERYTHING we say?

"It is shocking that the publisher of that renowned magazine is so horribly insensitive that he fails to change the title to "Rifleperson"."
So you are going to force them to change from one male word (man) to another male word (son)?
Hmmm, a little insensitive there, aren't you? :D
I think I will trump you and make them change their name to AmericanIndivdual of non-specific gender. THAT oughta get their attention.

Uh-Oh!!!
You have a point there, FPrice!
SO SUE ME!!! :D

<self righteous tone>
Ahem...
That term is equally offenive to those of refined sensibilities among us. Using the term, "American" is imperialist and jingoistic, not to mention CRUDE.
And "Individual" is an affront to those of us who prefer the communal lifestyle.
And "non-specific gender" is offensive to those of us who reject the very CONCEPT of "gender" as being discriminatory.
A kinder, gentler term would be "Being of the Universe".
And leave that AWFUL "RIFLE" thing out of it!!!
</self righteous tone>
Hah! Trump that!

You people need more time on your hands. ;) I wish I had 1/3 the creativity it would take to come up with "Being of the Universe". Sheesh. What will you guys come up with next.

Being of the Universe
Im suprised at you! Isnt this the High Road?
What about beings of extra-universal and metaphysical reality planes? Are they to be excluded?

I prefer the term "bi-pedal humanoid of Earthly inhabitance."

What American are we talking about? South, Central or North? Perhaps the title should be changed to Northern New World Rifle Shooter with a modified UN emblem. "We r da whirl, we r da chill dumb!"

What about non-carbon based lifeforms? You have to specify to that as well!
How discriminatory is humanoid? Are we so backward that we automatically classify such lifeforms as humanoid? We havent been around forever you know. What if we look like a speicies of life that has been around for billions of years? Wouldnt that be insulting to them?
I am a bi-pedal carbon-based humanoid projectile-launching-device shooting lifeform. Anyother description is pure discrimination, and I wont stand for it.:cuss: :banghead: :fire:

Hey, you're gonna tee off the Martians, Klingons and all those other rifleers who want to read of the latest and greatest gadgetry like personal ID control locks for fire control devices in mass-plasma inundation rifles of the future. Gotta think ahead here.

It should be called Being of Projectile launcher shooter.
OOps! I forgot about those who like Particle beams and Energy weapons.

So what about an amorphous lifeform lucky enough to have a shoulder and a trigger finger that likes to project possibly dangerous projectiles at whatever it feel like?

Thermochemical mass-accelerator using entity?!?
Moparmike
October 1, 2003, 06:53 PM
Kraut, what if I want to accelerate something without mass using only energy?
What if an amorphous non-descript gelatinous blob wants to initiate the acceleration of a particle without mass such that it initiates a thermochemical mass-accelerating reaction?
:p

October 1, 2003, 07:06 PM
How can you have mass acceleration without mass? :D

"Thermochemical mass-accelerator using entity?!?"
OH HO! NOW you are advocating that an entity "use" what you think may be an inanimnate object and a non-life form...just because it does not meet YOUR definition of what may define an "entity"???
And just WHAT is your justification to allow any "entity" to demonstrate imperialistic superiority over any object, animate or not?
Moparmike
October 1, 2003, 07:42 PM
Its simple Quantum Physics. IIRC, photons, quarks, and such-like have no mass, yet can be accelerated to incredible speed using energy. Sort of like a particle accelerator, only the particle has no discernable mass.
I didnt think about the inanimate part. Good job FPrice.

No mass, huh? Who says? Did they run out there to be sure - or hypotheses (sp). So many things are being poo-pooed these days. We're liable to find out one day that's not exactly so.
Back to the drawing board?? :) :)
I have an idea this thread has no infinity - :) unless...

I'm not very good in quantum physics, but I've heard, that those massless particles (photons, quarks) at least have a "spin".
Are you a spin-doctor?!?
