Just got home from the range. 100rds everything functioned perfect! My groups were low, but excitment and combat sights I'm sure are to blame. That was my first time shooting a 1911 type gun, but its something I can do lot more of! I'm looking for recomendations for sights, this will be primarely a paper punching gun for now. It currently has 3-dot sights.

Give us some more details on the Sistema! I am thinking about getting one and I want to know your impressions. Are they as good as a Colt from the same period? Are they pretty accurate? Are they worth the money?

As far as shooting low is concerned, 1911s seem to point low for many people that are not used to them. The have a steep angle to the grip that may take some getting used to but once you get used to it, it feels natural.

Sights should be standard Colt sizes right? If that is true, then you have a lot to choose from! If it is going to be a target gun, get some good adjustable sights that are all black. Check out Brownells for style options.
