I have one, It's really an accurate pistol, mine has a too-light trigger; same as my challenger; only complaint= mag's wear out fast, I mean they still function fine, but the slide closes on empty every time. It's a touche too hard to pull back, when not cocked, for the ladies I shoot with.:)

Yes. I like mine quite a bit. I don't shoot it nearly enough, though.

I have a Micro Buckmark (4.5" bbl) which is very accurate and reliable with ammo it likes. I've been into wheelguns lately so it hasn't seen too much range time recently. I need to fix that.

I have the 5.5 Target model and for the pin shooting I used to do it was perfect. Once I got as fast I could with the adjustable sights I moved to a dot sight and started scarring myself on how well I could shoot it.

I can get good groups at 25 yards with it too. I'll agree the slide is a bit stiff with the hammer down but not horrible. I've never had a problem with my mags but I have 3 I use. Each mag has at least 500 rounds through it though.

Only malfunctions I've had with it have been ammo releated or if I've neglected too clean it for more than 500 rounds. I'd recommend them as a solid and versatile .22LR pistol.

I've had one for some 14 years or so. The most naturally pointing handgun I've ever owned. I carry it in a shoulder holster while big game hunting in case I get a chance to head shoot a ruffed grouse along the trail (Tastes BETTER than chicken.).

The magazines wear out, also dirty up and require as much cleaning as the gun. If there was such a thing as an absolutely reliable magazine for this weapon, I would think it would be the assassin's favorite by a wide margin. The magazine issue, however, disqualifies it.

I have no trouble racking mine, it isn't stiff at all.

God bless and y'all be careful out there.

Several thousand rounds through mine....loved everyone of them! I have a couple of friends that are talking about getting one for themselves based on how mine shoots. Pice seems about right compared to mine (5.5"). As for the trigger, it's nicely light, though maye too light for some tastes. Sights are easy to adjust, and clear to use. I haven't had any problems with the mags to date (6 years and counting).

I like my Browning Buckmark. My only complaint is that the "topstrap" has a tendancy to loosten up while shooting; the hex screws need tightening periodically. Or, one could put a drop of LocTite on them to keep them snug. It's a nice accurate little gun, and I'm not trading it, but I would probably go with a Ruger Mark II if I did it over. The Rugers just seem a little more robust.

I have had a 5" Buckmark Standard over 12 years and have shot the snot out of it. It has well over 100Krounds through it, and gets 300-600 per week through it still. I have NEVER had a magazine problem with it, and I am on the two mags I bought with it new. 50K+ rounds through a magazine is a good few, and they work perfectly still even with no cleaning or oiling in at least 3 or 4 years. The trigger is superb, accuracy is superb. I have replaced ONE part, the slide buffer, due to wear or damage. The guide rod and recoil spring should be replaced now as they are quite worn, but I have not gotten around to it. I shoot 3000-5000 rounds between cleanings, and oil it up before each range session. Keep it wet and even when FILTHY it functions 110%, let it dry out and it needs to be clean to be reliable. I can live with that. When I "clean" it I just hose it out with brake cleaner and wipe the crud out, oil and shoot. I have cleaned the barrel exactly 2 times, both of which were a waste of time.

It is THE best non-supertarget type 22 out there. If not for the very very top end competitions the Buckmark the one to buy.

I've had one since the mid-to-late `80's. It's a great gun,

Anybody have a Browning Buckmark?? I have 2 - - a Camper and a Plus, and my wife has a Micro. Nice guns, great accuracy.

The newer ones have small ears on the slide that address the problem of having a small surface area to get ahold of.

only complaint= mag's wear out fast

So I'm not the only one with this problem? All of a sudden one day, my Buckmark wouldn't feed anything but the first round properly. Everything else would get hung up going into battery, and the bullet would get shaved. My assumption was that the follower had gotten a hair out of whack and was feeding the rounds at too-shallow an angle (even though the gun shop guys assured me the mag was fine and that it was the ammo I was using).

Bought a new mag, tried it out with my "wrong" ammo, and the Buckmark was back up to snuff. Now, if I can just keep that darned sight base torqued down...

BTW, it's a great pistol.

I have a 5.5in nickel Buckmark. I like it, but the shape of the trigger gets annoying. The top strap does tend to loosen up a little, even with that lock washer.

Otherwise, it's a great shooter. Accurate. Kinda doesn't like standard velocity, tho. I like it. However, I will be selling it to fund a Kadet kit for my CZ75.

Top strap does manage to work itself loose. I too have experienced the mags impacting feeding, but thats about it. Maintence has been minimal, I don't think it had even been completely disassembled in its first 10k rounds and it still shoots fine.

Like others have said, my only problem is the rear screw in the sight base loosening up, never the front. Must be the steel screw in the alloy frame. Anyway, a drop of Loctite takes care of it with no problem. Mine has about 4000 rounds through it with no other problems, other than the occasional dud round, a problem with the ammo, not the pistol.
