I just picked up a CZ-75 for $449. I feel like I got gouged, but I had to pay it because I can't seem to find them in stock through my usual avenues of acquirement. Out of curiosity what was the price on these before the panic buying started?

Not a bad price; that was the lowest price LAST year, and they've only gone up since.

If its new with 2 magazines you got a good deal. In my area it would cost aprox. $550.

Well I bought a Saiga 12 a few months ago from a dealer in Georgia and the sights were really crooked. He felt really bad and offered to get me whatever I wanted at the best price he could supply. I really didn't think too much of it until I started looking on Gunbroker for CZ-75 and realized they were all in $500-550 range new. Just on a whim I decided to call the dealer in Georgia and see what he could do for me.
I talked to him like 2 weeks ago and I hadn't heard back until this morning. He knew someone who was a CZ dealer and was able to get one, so this is supposedly dealer to dealer cost. That's why I asked what the price was before panick buying, I sort of expected it had been marked up, but it seems he is as good as his word.
Yeah its NIB so thats the gun and 2 mags. Does CZ throw goodies in the box like Springfield with the XD?

they place two magazines, a cleaning brush, cleaning rod, and a mag loading assist tool.

the freebies with the XD are just that, freebies. i threw 'em away and bought real holsters lol.

I paid $417 for a CZ-75B Stainless, but those days are long gone. I think prices will fall slightly in the coming months as the panic buying wanes.

You got a good deal.

Sounds like you found an honest dealer who deserves to have some more business thrown his way.

Don't feel gouged, you did very well. Another poster said his shop is asking $620 for an ordinary 75B.

Although they're a tad rough on the inside (i.e., tools marks), I think the CZ-75B is a pleasure to shoot. For $449 - you got a reasonable price.

Gouging? Hardly. I'd call that a deal.

Now the Gander Mountain up the street from me charging $730 for a P-01.... THAT is gouging.

I think they are currently priced fair for a full sized quality pistol. I doubt they will drop any. Its pretty much ARs, AKs, FALs, etc that will probably drop. Especially AKs.

I just spied (locally) a beautiful two-tone CZ75 Compact for $509.

That is some serious money for a CZ , but you get some real steel there. At least by my thinking.

Once camp may cry that CZ will no longer be considered a economy priced brand..

While others will not be able to use the term "euro trash" or
refer to them as cheaply made junk guns.

The fact is, most other brands are going up too. Have you priced a new Sig anything lately?

Plastic pistols are as much, if not more than a CZ.

Ha! $300 for a used one. But that was years ago. I think your $449 is a lot less than my $300 back then.

Every CZ pistol that I have seen for sale lately have been at the $600.00mark. Any price under that for a new one would be considered a good price IMHO.

The newest CZ, the P07, available in April, is MSRP for $508.

Mine came with 2 mags, a cleaning brush, patch holder, and some snap caps with replaceable primer inserts. The 97Bs snap caps were interesting since the front was square, and they wouldn't feed out of the magazine into the chamber.

P07 only has an MSRP of $508? I think I know what polymer pistol I will be buying next, thank you!

And what is this Omega trigger system? The last system CZ will ever need?

Maybe, it is supposed to be smoother, lighter, and fewer parts, so we'll see!
