Regarding Kalifornia and spelling thereof

I know most of us misspell California as Kalifornia out of resentment and frustration, but what do you think of maybe making an effort to spell it correctly?
For example, if a new THR member in California wants to run a search on what CCW laws are, or restrictions on inheriting the family liberty rifle and 30 round magazines, etc. they have to run a search on 'California, Cali, CA, Kalifornia, KA, Kali', etc. and may miss something entirely because a thread was titled 'CCW in Kalifornia' instead of 'CCW in California'.
Your thoughts?

California:
sorry no searches found

Hey, I live in a state that had Klinton as AG, then Gov. before going to D.C..
Art's Grammaw will not allow me share what results one gets if a search for the correct spelling of that persons' name reveals. :D
No disrespect for you folks.
Yes disrespect for the gummit out there tinkling on 2A , and so many of your rights.

Being an ol' b@stard, I've lived through the decline...It has taken about 30 years for California to become the socialist s***hole that it is today. The demise started with Governor Moonbeam (the bugsplat on the windshield of life) and got progressively worse from there. The left-leaning urban centers of LA and Gay Bay are dragging Kalifornia down. The remainder of the state is relatively conservative, but cannot muster the votes to keep the socialist city-dwellers at bay.
I wish it were still California, but it isn't that way anymore.

Why don't you just put the real spelling California in your post's subject line, along with any other helpful search terms?

Skunkabilly, back before you were a twinkle in your old man's eye, California was where folks started calling it the United States of "Amerika", and yelling "Baby killer!" at GIs returning from the Nam. There's a lot of residual hostility in the other 49.
So, with the never-ending political decay on the "Left Coast" and the gun-grabber asininity out there, folks are just naturally gonna express their resentment.
Sorry, but that's just the way it is. I don't make the news; I just report it.

Skunk, that is like telling me I ought to call .308 ".308 Winchester" and "7.62x51mm" instead of just plain .308. Well sort of. My point being, I like my .45 more than my 9mm and you can't change my mind with your wonder 9mm or even your revolutionary .40 S&W talk! :D

I pm'd Skunk in reference to some matters as ART mentioned. I hope I didn't make his carbon fiber blush too much . :D
Like I stated before, plenty of good folks in Ca., plenty doing good work for RKBA, running this Forum, and teaching me stuff.
...and jiminey I'm in Arkansaw, without us and all the jokes you guys would have to pick on someone else...can't have that. FWIW my HS was the one in '57 that rec'd all the attention...yep, that one. I've heard people all over talk about that in my travels...even Jamacia !!
Every state has a stereotype...can't change history.

Wasn't there a mini-series on about America falling under Communist rule called "Amerika"?
And wasn't that the influence for calling Klinton & Kalifornia by the aforementioned names?
And does anyone know where I can find a copy of this mini-series?
Just a few thoughts....:)

Yes it was an old miniseries frmo the 80's. It was also made into a book by the same name.

There isn't a single communist in Kalifornia..
There are millions!!
So it will stay the People's Republik of Kalifornia..
It will go back to CALIFORNIA when I can get a class 3 there..
I'm not holding my breath..

I prefer using North Korea's official acronym when describing Kalifornia..
It is DPRK (Democratic Peoples Republic of Kalifornia)
We even have a governor who is just as psychotic as that fuzzy headed little twerp running the show in North Korea...

Sven, but 'tacticalifornia' will come up if I search for 'california' ;)
Sorry if I didn't come across clearly, I don't really care for people mispelling out of frustration and resentment, but I thought it would help folks cruising the boards for legal advice .... sorry I asked.

Searchers can use wildcard: *alifornia .:)
(n.b. *alifornia by itself gives 2,592 hits)

I Googled kalifornia gun laws and got 1580 hits.
Besides, if they don't know how to spell "California", they probably won't understand the laws anyway.;)

Searchers can use wildcard: *alifornia Lancel, you've hit upon something here. I've heard it said that the name "California" comes from "Caliente"[0] and "fornicate"[1]. Thus, Cali-fornia, the "Land of Hot [fornication]." So, there you go.
But Lancel's post showed me that the "C" at the front is a deception. It's unimportant. It's what comes after that's important. "Alifornia". "Ali" from "alimentary"[2], and "fornia" as above.
The more imaginative among you can see where I'm going with this, and the way people rights are treated in the People's Republic pretty much bears me out.
If you don't know what I'm getting at, well, I'm not going any further in front of Art's mother.

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking for:
[list=1] If it's just a problem with searches, the * wildcard has different effects in THR searches compared to web searches with Google or AlltheWeb.
For example a search in THR land gives about the same hits:
CCW california = 177 hits
+ CCW kalifornia = 25 hits = 192 total hits
= (almost) CCW *alifornia = 193 hits
or CCW *fornia = 194 hits :)
If the problem is implied comparison with Nazi germany - "Ich weiss nict."
(I dont know)
In either case, I'll continue to not use the nazi/commie spelling. Especially since the concept of Nazi Valley Girls is way too scary. :D

"I know most of us misspell California as Kalifornia out of resentment and frustration.."
Actually I make it a point to spell it kalifornia with a small k because I can't think of any other way to convey my disgust.

I was born there and lived there for 45 years and the terms Kalifornia and PRK are appropriate now. CA is an incredibly beautful place. I lived as far South as San Diego and as far North as Clearlake during my life. I miss the climate and the mountains and the beach but the political situation is intolerable there. I have been a conservative all of my life notwithstanding where I was born. There are more conservatives there still than live in most other states but not enough to prevail over the huge liberal majorities in the L.A and S.F. areas. It makes me sick to think about it.
