OK, imagine this:
m14nut's Snub, but with a fixed rear sight, Pachy Compac's, and a bead blasted finish. That's my snub Speed Six from about '80. A great deal if you find one.

The pic is really a bigger file than I like, so I'll post a link instead. The gun itself is a 3" fixed-sight GP-100 .357, with the "short" ejector shroud that I much prefer. Century Arms imported a batch of these a few years ago, that had been originally sold to Canada or somewhere; I have asked them repeatedly and they won't say. I guess it's a military secret or something.

The group highlighted in yellow was six rounds of 10.9 grains of HS6, under a Sierra 125 JHC. Group Highlighted in blue was 9.5 grains of the same powder, under a WW 158 SJHP. CCI Magnum primers, mixed .357 brass throughout. The 125 grain load is said to be doing 1629 fps from a 7" barrel, and the 158 grain loads claims 1375 from the same tube. Shooting was done at 25 yards from an improvised rest (range bag). I have since turned the barrel in a tad, and it's right on the money for windage now.
Ruger makes a fine DA revolver.

V-fib that is a Milt Sparks, Versa Max 2. It's a nice holster and holds the Sp101 very nicely.

My GP100 3" police trade in. Has some no name aftermarket grips that feel great.
