L&R supposedly makes a drop in replacement, I don't know if any fitting is required or not.

It was the 2nd time that I read your thread and I forgot that you didn't want a Traditions lock.
But it's too late to delete this post now.
However I've inquired about buying flint locks from Traditions before, and they do sell their locks.
Their percussion locks aren't so bad.
What's wrong with them, too much trigger slack or creep, or is the target trigger pull too heavy?

I went to the web site you sent me for 100 bucks I can get one.
The rifle only coast 270. Almost Cheaper to by another one.

The problem with mine is, you set the set trigger, then pull the main
trigger. But the hammer will uNcock PART OF THE WAY and don't hit the nipple.
Tried reset it as called for in the book that came with it, don't seem to work. Any knowledge in setting adjustment screws. BE Would
a big help. Thank :banghead:you

That's good that you have the manual.

If you can't fix it, they should fix it for free under their warranty or replace it.
You shouldn't even need to send in the barrel, just the stock and lock.
That's just in case the wood is interfering with it or a part needs to be replaced.
Good luck!

Well, your original post said you wanted one that was better than what Traditions made. So that is what I found. Sometimes money talks and folk get happy with what they have.
