Any positives or negatives about this piece. I am thinking about it for summer carry and when my wife and I are hiking in the mountains. Fits the hand like a glove, havent shot one though.

The one i have wrorks great .40 sw.buy fullsize mag for reload.easier to control .;)

I have the 40 in full size and it's great. You're right, the M&P's do fit like a glove. I got the full size for the mag cap of 15+1 over the .45 of 10+1. I've contemplated getting the compact .45 but really don't want to have to stock another 1000 rounds in ANOTHER caliber! I do like the 40 compact but since I already have the full size it doesn't make sense. So, I just got a Ruger LCP which is real small and light. With the Winchester RangerT ammo it's pretty tough. I hear this ammo really hurts!:cuss:

The M&P is the hottest polymer frame handgun on the market today. Most dealers cannot keep up with demand, and it has won over 370 LE department issue contracts since it was introduced in 2006.
