Wish I had one this weekend. Byron had to pick up a couple of "church keys" for me, Art, & Byron.

Those Old Cammillus scout/utility, had carbon steel blades, and are great knives!
Man! How wish they still made this pattern with 1095 blades.
Case and others used to make these with carbon steel blades as well.
I miss the old Camillius, I really do.
Not only did they make Camillus, they also made for other knife companies.
*sigh*
As much as I hate to admit it, the fact remains a SAK is a better knife in regard to fit, finish, sharp out of the box, warranty and the like, than many Camp /Scout/Utility knives today.
Heck, most production knives -period.

My current EDC is an Ulster Boy Scout with carbon steel blades and brown bone handle scales. You can't find this pattern in carbon steel any more, all the manufacturers have switched to stainless. There's always a possibility that Case could offer it in CV steel, but I watch Case product fairly closely and haven't seen any.
Smoky Mountain Knife Works recently offered a Boy Scout pattern made by Keen Kutter with a 1095 main blade and the rest of the tools stainless, an intriguing combination. I put one on backorder, but don't know if the order will ever get filled.
Used to be that Boker offered most of its traditional pattern in carbon steel, but they've switched over the last few years to stainless.

Yep...don't make them like they used to.
I gave my son a Ulster 4 blade, and a Imperial 5 blade Boy Scout knife. He is the only Cub Scout in his troop to have "official " scout knives.
Me,I like my old bone scaled Camillus and Imperial utilities.
