I'm looking for load data on the .338-06 Ackley Improved. I've checked Ackley's books and can't find anything there; same results with Barnes and Nosler manuals. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

I can't give you specific loading data, but I worked with the Ackley Improved cartridges many years ago and looked back into my old notes and found the following. The suggestion I had noted was to start at the LOWEST starting load for the 338 Win Mag and work up a 1/2 grain at a time watching for the usual press signs. Lighter bullet weights seen to work best with the Ackley Improved cartridges. Hope this will help you a bit. :)
