Bought a 38 special Davis Derringer, any suggestions in a shooting ammo?
I've heard that they are lousy gun.

they are heavy, only two shots, 20 pound trigger, hand spankers....yeah. i have one in 9mm....i use to carry a amt380....but now i have moved ahead in technology 25 years...gpr

I use wad cutters in mine and find it to be much more accurate than I would have expected it to be ...

20 pound trigger? Not on the ones I've shot. (.22lr & .38spl)
As far as I know, Cobra Industries makes them now.

There are far better choices for concealed carry. I've never been a fan of derringers and certainly not the Davis. Friend has a few .22s and the one thing they all have in common, the barrels rattle like a bell clapper when you wiggle 'em, not too impressive.

I have a Bond arms ranager built like a tank but its in 45lc/410 just for very close range like across the desk.
