223 primer question

Can I use magnum primers or ONLY small rifle normal primers?

I want ot load some up tonight but only have small rifle MAGNUM primers. .


OK or not?

Go by what your reloading manual says.

You can use magnum primers but may need to reduce the load a bit. I doubt you will get any improved performance with magnum primers.

In 5.56 rounds, I only use mag primers. I don't know anyone who doesn't.

FredT nailed it. Use the primer your manual specifies and you won't go wrong.
