Marlin 1894 carbine cleaning

As afairly new cowboy action shooter, I could use some advise on
assembly/disassembly on a marlin 1894. I've shot four matches now and
have only swabbed the barrel out so far.

Hopefully you are pulling the bolt and swabbing from the breech and not from the muzzle. If you are swabbing from the muzzle, STOP.

Push the lever about half way down so that the action is open. Unscrew the screw in the lever and pull the lever out. Pull the bolt out of the action, while watching the location of the ejector. Then take out the ejector. Now you can clean from the chamber.
