Does anyone know when or if Hornady is going to sell 44 mag FTX bullets to reload with?

My understanding is that they have been released, but I've not looked for any as I load for .45's.

They are available packaged as muzzle-loading projectiles packaged with sabots......

I got my first FTX's for my M94 Win. .45lc by buying some of the ML packaged bullets (250gr .451").

Try Graf's and Midway as they have been listing the other FTX calibers as available (ie: .308, .35, .323", .45/70, ect.)

Midway has them and several others. The 44's came out in the 265gr weight and not the 225gr they sell as factory ammo.

If you load for 44mag you may like these. If you load for the 44 special, they too hvy.

I bought some in 45 and they work great in the 45acp, 45AR and the 45 Schofield but when I tried to load them in my Colt SAA and my Smith 625 the round was too long. Wouldn't allow the cylinder to rotate.

Good luck

If you can find them, buy them. All of the FTX's are going quick. I already can't find any for the 30/30 anywhere. They'll come around again of course, just not sure how long it'll take everyone to re-stock.

Oh, and Midway had the 30/30 bullets, but I'm not willing to pay the $11 shipping. No way.

I picked up some .30 caliber ones for 30-30, 300 Savage, etc. for $32/100.

These were local.
