i was driving around looking for this knife but i just can't find it so i ordered it online. i saw a short clip on the wave feature in action, that really was awesome. the wave feature (if done correctly) looks just like an auto.

I downloaded all their movies, the wave is in fact faster than an auto.
You have to pull the auto out of your pocket, then push the button to open it. The wave opens the knife while you are pulling it from your pocket, all in one.
Waves look so cool. If I only had $210, I'd get the commander.

The WAVE is an excellent blade as is the Commander...

nsf, IIRC you may be able to find a Commander in the $160 range...I know it's expensive but if you cruise the net you may find one...
Chris, I carry an Emerson...nothing wrong with the CQC but I find that over blade length, style, features, handle material, etc. etc. etc. the make or break decision with Skunky and a knife is the grip ergonomics. I tend to like the Commander, SOCFK, etc style of handles better. :)
The Wave sure is neat.

i was considering a commander due to it's over all style, function but at 150-180 that was kinda too much for me. i'll prolly get one later on tho.

I have a mini-commander, which I chose over the commander because the blade lenth falls just under the legal limit in CO. It's a great knife, deploying it is really fast and they are built tough. If you search some discount knives places on the web you can find some pretty good deals.

I just picked up an Emerson Commander from WildAlaska. Great prices and great service. He has a big moving sale going on so you may want to PM him and see what he has in stock. I don't think he has any more Commanders, but can't be sure.

Chris, did you get a chance to hold either? Holding a knife makes a huge difference for me. I thought I wanted an SOCFK by looking at the specs but I sold it as soon as it came in the mail. It's a beautiful knife though, but for some reason, the chemistry just wasn't there...
nsf, I shopped at www.tadgear.com and windowshopped at a few places online like 1sks.com and knifecenter.com but forget which ones had the best prices. Sorry :o

I bought my Commander used but like new condition from a fellow on USN forum, for $100. Haunt the knife forums for awhile, you'll get a better deal.
CQC10 is also a great knife. I have a Persian I'd like to sell, but it's not a waved knife.

I have the CQ wave and I like it a lot but,
I also have four Commanders which I LOVE!
My hands are rather large and thats probably why I prefer the Commander I will repeat what Skunk has noted already, you should try them and see which one fits your hands best. Remember, you can't have too many knives !!! (or guns or ammo)

Yeah, if you see PSS Sniper's paws you will see why he has a Commander (he needs a Super Commander, really) and why I have a Mini-Commander :D
