Cleaning out the closet today and came across this.
Besides some very minor wear on the end of the barrel, the gun appears to be brand new, but I know its been fired. It has the checkered top strap and was made in 1970 or 1971. Looks like the reciept shows purchase price to be $140 bucks, but the reciept is pretty faded out.
Two pics. One with my sucky camera, and the other with a better camera.

I just had to send my LNIB 27-2 back, because the hammer would fall without the trigger being pulled.:(

I just "found" a Galco Royal Guard IWB holster that a friend gave me a few years ago in case I ever got a S&W snubbie. It was still in the plastic bag. He never used it, as he bought a Glock to carry before he got the holster from Galco. It turns out that it fits my Ruger SP101 3" .357 perfectly (just a tad tight, but it'll break in nicely) except for about 1/2" of the barrel is sticking out the bottom. The size 0 Uncle Mikes IWB plastic clip-on holster just went into "the box." :)

You "found" a S&W 27 in your closet? Are you kidding? Dang, I though I was lucky when I found $12 on the street the other day.

Ummm...
How did you find that in your closet. Usually when I find something in the gloomy corner of my closet its dirty underwear or socks.
Damn.
Regardless, it's very nice. Now I want one.
Damn.

I think that one might have been in my closet. After all, we live in the same town. :)
Great revolver!! I hope you enjoy it. On the other hand, if it ever needs a new home, there is room here ....

My closet was not as productive as yours, but.
I went to a gun show today and found a 27-2 P&R TH, TT, RR, with the box, papers and it is about 95% or more and got out of there for $300.
Happy, Happy,
