I have an old Remington 22 pump my wife bought me as a present over 20 years ago, and it was old then. Not cherry -- well worn -- an honest shooter.

I think it's a Model 12 but it might be a 121.... serial is 228xxx. Can someone date it for me? No plans to sell, it's sentimental and I'll shoot it a few times a year until it goes to one of the grandkids I don't have yet.

Interesting. My gun doesn't have the letters on the barrel, so maybe it is earlier. I did follow the link to the remington society and snooped a bit, I am sure after looking it is a Model 12.

I learned to shoot with a Fieldmaster, and mentioned it to my wife, she didn't know a 572 from a 12 and bought me this. Its a nice little gun.
