They were $30 last month... glad I overpaid for them then rather than really overpaying for them now.

Yeah it was an "introductory" sale. I got some. The pre '94 ban 30 rounders I bought have worked well over the years. I prefer the gun's profile with a 20 round magazine.

Not so much a price increase, as a promotion ending. FWIW, a local dealer who had sold factory 20-rounders to anyone, all along, in spite of Ruger's previous LE-only policy, was being badly undercut by the promotion. The dealer had paid more for his inventory of Mini-14 mags than Ruger was selling them for, directly.
The current forty-buck price is still less than the previous retail price in the range of $50-60.
I had other financial irons in the fire during the promotion, and missed buying any at the low price.

I bought 9 at $30. It seemed like a really low price anyways as the Sig P226 mags I buy cost more than a Ruger Mini-14 mag, which has always been one of the most expensive. I am just glad they are still selling them to the general public. Maybe they will start selling the 30 rounds now. :)
