I have read this review:

https://www.snipercentral.com/spstactical.htm

I have decided that I needed to fill a gap between my .22 centerfires and my .338 win mag and have decided on a .308. I have ordered a rifle in at a local gun shop, but I'm not committed to it. The guy told me if I didn't want it, he would just throw it out on the shelf. For those of you who have them, how do you like them? How do they shoot? What grain bullets do they like? What else can you tell me about them?

My dad bought one, its sweet. Our's has a Nikon Pro-Staff 3-9x on it. My dad can shoot 1" groups at 100 yards, with 180 grain Winchester super X ammo, run of the mill stuff. I'm sure it would do better with match ammo. It is a little on the heavy side, but this isn't a hunting rifle for him, he won't be hauling it through the brush. This rifle shoots good with 150 gr bullets and up. I've been looking for one myself, because I really like it. Lastly, due to the weight of this rifle, 8.5 lbs, the recoil is very tame.

Have a friend who has one (in 308). The first time he let me shoot it, I put 5 rounds into a dime sized hole @ 100 yards using his handloads. I think he was more surprised than I was. That was with the stock 6 lb trigger. If I had the money, I'd own one myself. FWIW.

Solid, accurate rifle with a well-made Hogue stock for a reasonable price. Great entry point into precision shooting, I'd highly recommend it! Really, any of the more accurate Remingtons and Savages are great buys.
