I have spent about 5 hours now looking for a post describing the step by step installation of the Wild West trigger in the Marlin 1895.

I went to the Marauder site but it seems to be more oriented toward the complete disassembly of the gun. Other members speak of a PDF file created by member "1858" that covers this but for the life of me, I can't find it.

A good number of folks have reported an elapsed time of 15 or 20 minutes for the modification?

Can anybody provide me a link or an address for these instructions? I've got the trigger, the gun and the time but am a bit unwilling to jump in w/o benefit of some help!

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums:)
The PDF was linked here (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=410991), but the link has been edited out.
I guess your best bet would be to ask 1858 about it via a private message.

I think if you follow the Marauder site to the point you have the trigger plate removed this info from the marlinowners.com/forums might help:
"14. Once off the rifle, look and find the small retainer pin that holds the trigger in place (really obvious). Pop it out to the left.
15. Push the factory trigger forward - towards the barrel. Pull down and remove. It's two pieces.
16. Push your WWG trigger (it's one piece) back into it's place.
17. Reverse procedure to re-assemble your rifle."
Regards,
Greg
