Recently I bought my first revolver, the above mentioned 625-4. I've been shooting autos for a long time, and finally figured out that if I shoot a revolver at the range, I don't need to pick up brass...http://www.thehighroad.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

At any rate, I'm running into an issue - after I shoot 4 or 5 strings, the moonclips get pretty hard to extract. I'm guessing this is a thermal issue, as the first few clips drop out no problem. The load I'm shooting is pretty moderate, 4.6gr of WST behind a 200gr LSWC in Federal cases.

Anyone else run into this, and have a quick cure? Or do I need to have the cylinders honed? Basically I'm looking for options...

A chamber brush and a couple of passes in each chamber every two or three cylinders full will help. This is normal practice in the revolver divisons of IPSC and IDPA where easy extraction and a smooth reload are a must.

I have a 5" 625 and I've had that problem too. use a chamber brush seems to cure it.

A lot of it is bullet lube fouling from the lead bullet reloads.

I would just run a brush through the chambers when they start getting sticky.
