is there anywhere I can get some load recipies using this Auto Disk for Trail Boss? It's not listed in the Lee Reloading Manual at all. Specifically, I'm looking for a light 38 spl. or 357mag 148 gr wadcutter recipe using the disk.

They show a loading for a 148gr wadcutter using Trail Boss powder, as well as all the other load data for all three of their powder makes (Hodgdon/IMR/Winchester). You can select your rifle or pistol caliber, make/type powder and bullet weights.

Very handy free reference and like nobdy else, the folks that market the powder should be able to provide a reasonable reloading database IMHO.

Why so happens I did :) Thats a very nice feature they have!... but unfortunately, they don't list the LEE Auto Disk stats(ie: which disk, which hole).. and of course Lee's phone has been busy all day and they don't have Trail Boss in their current manual at all. :(

If you have the disks it 'should' not be very hard for you to weigh some different size holes to get the correct one for your load? The Lee disk chart will only get you into the low ballpark anyway, a scale is pretty madatory for reloading.

I load for 454 Casull. My light load is 9.5 grains of Trail Boss over a 255 grain bullet using the Lee Pro Auto Disk along with the double-disk kit to get to the weight I want. It meters out well enough for targets (+/- 0.15 grains).

The LEE auto disk hole size can easily be converted to specific powder charges by referring to the load charts. On my 9mm, win 231 powder, hole 40gives 4.3grs. With Trail Boss hole 40 gives 1.8. On the back of the Auto-Disk instructions is a chart that shows IMR Trail Boss data.

Reverse engineer it. Find the load you want to try and then match a hole with it (or close). You can get micro disks to finesse it.

The disk hole volumes are given on the same LEE Chart. The 40 hole = 1.8grs Trail boss The 40 hole =0.70 volume cc All the holes are listed by volume.

Trail Boss VMD is .2172 according to the powder chart that came with your disks.
Your Charge in grains X VMD Factor = Volume CC If you figure the volume of the load you want to try, you can find the hole that comes closest.

Just got my Disk dispenser from Midway today and the new instructions sheet does include that Trail Boss powder.

Like anything else, I will double check with my scale before loading any rounds. I noticed that the volume index for HP-38 and Win 231 are different, though per the good folks at Hodgdon/Winchester they are the exact same powder.
