If you use a Lyman 1200 powder digital dispenser how do you like it?
Do you use it for pistol ammo or just rifle rounds?

I have a very nice Yugo SKS that I rarely if ever shoot. My brother want to trade the Lyman for the SKS. If I rarely use the Lyman then I would rather have a rifle I don't shoot than a powder dispenser I don't use.
Far as rifle rounds I load only .223rem most if the time with Varget. Im wondering if this big complicated machine will do something for me?

Any comments on the Lyman?

I use the Lyman for my target, and long range rifle loads. It works perfectly for me, it is quick, accurate (I double check the powder weights against my Dillon D-Terminator scale) and most of all gives me added confidence in my loads, by taking one more accuracy robbing problem from the equation.

The Lyman DPS3 is a good powder dispenser. I use mine for rifle loads, but a friend uses it for rifle and hand guns. He has the RCBS 1500 also and says the Lyman is easier to unload when changing powders. No complaints with mine.
