Its a cheap gun, very cheap, but it was my grandfather's so I'm going to hang on to it. After firing, it takes a herculian effort to eject the spent casings, unfired casings will fall free with no effort. It does fire to point of aim and no fail to fires. Any remedy for the ejection?

You can try to polish the chambers or better yet just shoot CB shells in it. There's not really very much you can do to improve a RG-10. This was a pot metal starter gun that Rohm bored out and made a .22 short revolver out of it. It will start to spit lead shavings in a very short period of time. Sorry about that.

Which model of RG? They made a few different 6-shot .22 revolvers. The RG10 was .22 Short only (although mine chambers Colibri's quite well), the RG10S was it's .22LR counterpart, the RG14 and RG24 were both .22LR swing-out cylinder models, etc.
It does sound like you need to clean/polish the chambers though. There may also be some peening on the chamber edge (where the cartridge rim fits) due to someone dry-firing it too often.
I usually shoot my RG revolvers with either CB's or Colibri cartridges just to keep down the wear and tear on them. Yes, I collect and shoot SNS pistols of all sorts....it's a sickness that I enjoy.

Funny this came up. We used to be a Customs broker for an importer that brought these things in many years ago. They came w/o a cylinder as they were shipped seperate. That way the importer got a reduced duty rate which increased his profit margin. He sold a ton of these. They were really cheap.

Don't shoot it. It's a lot safer if you just keep it for old times sake and look at it once in a while. Besides, shooting is no fun if you can't hit squat past 3 feet, that is, when you can get it to go off. :rolleyes:
