Am I completely mistaken, or is this an H&K type MP5 trigger group? Also is it select fire? It appears to me to be. I'm going to go look at it this afternoon to see what's involved in buying it, transfer taxes, etc. Thanks.

Unless it was made before 1986, and the receiver it was for registered by then, and they can produce the paperwork, you can't legally put it in a gun and re-register it now.

So, it would make a neat paperweight, but you could never legally put it in a gun, unless it was a pre-1986 registered gun.

Thanks for the fast response. I guess if it's dirt cheap enough, it would make a cool paper weight, but I'll probably just be driving out for the fresh air this afternoon.
