Hi all-

I am noobie looking for a 9mm pistol and some one recommended that I check out the CZ 75b. I have not shot one yet and I have not seen one for rent in any of the ranges that I have visited. If you kind folks could please tell me a bit about them it would be great.

Thanks

CZ-75..... tens of thousands of rounds, very reliable, short break-in period, all steel, very customizeable and flexible platform, and the SP-01 is a competitor's favorite amongst national and international level shooters.

Great pistol. Solidly built, accurate, reliable and comfortable to shoot. It's a bit big and heavy for CCW, but can be carried comfortably in the proper holster.

Buy the 75BD or P-01 if you are not comfortable with cocked and
locked carry, or lowering the hammer on a live round.

Always Make Safety First!

Otherwise, your 75B will be more accurate than you can shoot it.
Trigger pull smooths out with use.

The Stainless model is very sweet.

Great gun and a fine shooter.
Are you going to carry this gun or target shoot ?
A bit heavy and big for carry (for me) other then that good choice

I have both a P-01 and 75BD. They are both excellent guns.

Check out the P-01 review at the link below.

But, be warned...

CZ-75 is an excellent sidearm for all uses. You carry concealed, if you have a permit or live in a free state, (Vermont/Alaska), with a good belt and good holster. Don't skimp on the rig!
If CCW is your primary, then a CZ PCR or a CZ P01 might be a better choice.

Shot my 97B and 75B with Kadet Kit today at the range. Tried out my .45 ACP load for the 97, and worked on some fast shooting target-to-target with my kadet kit and 75B.

They are great guns. There are a lot of good autos out ont he market, but CZ is quality for a good price. Plus they look good and feel great in your hand.

I think the OP is in New Jersey. He probably can't carry any more than I can here in Maryland.

I shoot my 1911's a lot...like a real lot:) Love them to death, pamper them, spend money I shouldn't on them...

That said, I only own one CZ and it is the 75B.

That's the gun on the nightstand, the gun I carry CCW, and the gun I will grab if I ever have to git and go for cover. I'd trust that one with my life.

Best 9mm out there. Get the .22lr kadet conversion kit. Great way to practice without breaking the bank. The Kadet is the best conversion kit available for a full size handgun. In 9mm mode a CZ75B likes everything but Blazer aluminum cased ammo.

I purchased a 75BD several years ago. It is a great gun and probably my favorite. I agree with one fact. They breed. I now have 4.

I bought mine as a first center fire pistol. So in that regard I was a noobie too. I was going from shop to shop searching for a used 1911 and ended up buying a Cz75b because I liked the way it fit my hand. If you find one to handle and you like the way it feels, you'll like the gun. I now have the .22 conversion... excellent.

Quadkid, where in CT are you located? I'm in Eastern CT close to Norwich. If you are close, you might be able to try mine.

Great gun.

You need to hold and shoot it if possible. The 75B has a long trigger finger reach.

It's too big for my hand, but I won't trade it.
