I have a Judge lite weight...great fun gun!!!
Just make sure you 2 1/2" 410 as some 3 " will fit but jam up the pistol when they open up.

yeah, i actually had a box of 3" shells, the guy set me straight, and threw in a couple boxes of 2 1/2" buckshot for free :D

I did'nt even know there were different chambers until this morning, i kinda wish i would have got the 3" version due to 3" shells being a little easier to come by, but it's fine for what i got it for (hd) and i still think i got a smokin' deal.

You're going to designate that your home defense gun over the XD40?

I still am trying ot figure out what problem The Judge is a solution for. I dont see a whole lot of usage for a .410 revolver, yet I cant seem to shake the feeling of how cool it would be as a "truck gun".

The box o' truth site really trashed the .410 as an option for anything other that a novelty. However I seem to recall the Winchester .410 levergun being wildly popular. I guess some things dont look good on paper, but seem to fill a void anyway.

Good looking gun, I cant wait to see the new 2" bobbed hammer version that Taurus came out with this year. I believe its called "The Public Defender" Im not kidding.

If nothing else Taurus has some great marketing people on thier staff

Problem: Man, I've got a hankering for a gun that's fun to shoot, and is somewhat versatile with ammunition.

Solution: Buy a Judge

Not every gun has to have some kind of tactical reason for existing.

While I would not use a Judge for primary SD, IIRC Box O' Truth tested the Judge at 10 yds. The judge is actually being marketed for use at much closer distances.

I patterned one of these and it's pretty poor past 15 to 20 feet.

I bought a stainless judge about a year ago for my wife. I love it. I have never felt more comfortable leaving her at home alone while at work or out of town at guard drill. The judge is the perfect gun for a woman who is not experienced in shooting and doesnt want to learn anything other than how to be safe with it. I load mine for her staggered with three 410s and 2 lcs. This way she is going to hit what she kind of aims at with the 410 which will send him running but if he keeps coming the lc hollowpoints are going to send him to his maker. My wife loves the gun and I am still surprised every time I shoot it at how little recoil it has when shooting the 410. I would have assumed since a 410 long gun kicks like hell that the revolver would have been worse but its not. Good luck with the judge, its great for snakes and for shock value to those who have never heard of it.

That's why you load it with slugs for the first two shots. :D

When the attacker closes in, it's time for some spread action.

They do great with what you use them for. 45 LC kicks butt. and with in 10 yards the buckshot and slugs make holes. Birdshot good to 5-7 yards.
