Im wanting to trade a hunting crossbow for a .44 magnum(used). Anyone know good places to try? Specifically in the Middle/East Tennessee area? Are pawn shops my only/best options?

That would have to be one heck of a crossbow to get much trade value on a .44 magnum. My local pawnbroker probably wouldn't be interested at all unless it was a highly exceptional bow. Bowhunters around here prefer composite draw.

Your best bet is at the gun shows. You may find a guy with a deep desire for a crossbow who's no longer as fond of his .44.

Its a new fired once $500 crossbow, and Im looking for a used hunting .44 mag, like a ruger or taurus with a 6-7.5 in barrel, so both are about the same price.

Isnt there a gun show coming up here in East TN? Or was that last month?

You get crossbows and you get crossbows...definitely need to specify the model, accessories and a photo or two. Can't see anyone considering a trade unless they have that basic information.

The crossbow is a Horton Legend HD175 with the red dot scope.

And Im not nessesarly looking for a direct trade. Just would like to get within trade + ~$100 or so.
