OK I just got a 1.75" belt (been wearing 1.5 mostly) and it sure is a pain to thread through...will this get better over time? Anyone else find it reaaaaally difficult to thread?

Skunk, I have four pairs of 5.11 pants and two different 1.75" Instructor belts. Each threads through very easily - even easier than through BDU's.

Maybe he's just weak? :p

My Blackhawk rigger's belt (1.75") fits quite easily thru the belt loops on my 5.11 shorts.

Skunkabilly,

I have the CSM 1.5 in black, and I find it adequate for my uses, both with daily use on BDU's and my occasional wear of RR 5.11's.

I have no experience with the 1.75 belts, but the loops on my BDU's are full at 1.5.

I'm glad you brought this up Skunk because I was just about to order one of each! Maybe they're making the belt loops smaller now? Are your 5.11's new or something? I guess I should prolly get the 1.5. Don't they make two thicknesses? Which is better for everyday carry use? Let me know how it works out Skunk.

I have one of the 1.75 Wilderness Belts, but I'd recommend the 1.5. They fit my RR pants, but not much else. I definately recommend the Wilderness brand over the imitators (of which I've tried a few.) I have no need to clip myself in to anything (my desk isn't really that far off the ground,) but I can appreciate a sturdy, inexpensive belt.

That's what the government wants you to think..... :scrutiny:

Anyway I haven't worn it much since, since my 1.75 holster just came in but I need to send the magpouches back in :banghead:

Having used both the 1.5" (for about 3 years) and the 1.75" (for about 1 year), I prefer the 1.5" when I'm not CCWing, and the 1.75" when I am. The 1.75" provides more stability and less pressure than the 1.5, for me.
