I've been debating picking up a H&K45C at my local shop, and wanted to see if there were any last minute thoughts about the handgun here (I've searched the forums and found some good information already).

I already own a H&KUSPc, and my thoughts are that the H&K45C would complement this quite well (except for the fact that it's in .45ACP and myUSPc is in 9MM).

How nicely does the H&K45C handle recoil? Is it pleasant to shoot for an extended range session?

Would having a USPc in 9MM and a H&K45C as my only handguns seem to similar, and maybe I'd be better served with a larger sized dedicated range gun?

Well, I picked up the HK45C today, so I'll be able to answer the questions once I hit the range!

hk45c is my current favo weapon heh.. recently bought a p2000sk lem online though.. we'll see how that goes. it's comfy for extended shooting seasons. can't say anything about the recoil.. don't remember how the 1911s shot compared to it. I do suck badly w/ the DA on it though.. but I do cocked'n locked anyway

I had a HK45 and HK45c and sold both. They shot good but the DA pull was rediculously heavy. I own a P2000 with LEM trigger and it's ok but the DA/SA is not for me

ow nicely does the H&K45C handle recoil? Is it pleasant to shoot for an extended range session?Dude..it's an H&K! Your hand will beg for more, regardless of caliber. I have a USP .40 Compact (V1) and a P2000sk 9mm (LEM). I love them both.

I plan on buying a HK45 or 45c as soon as I get rid of the Kimber in my sig... I say get the 45c. I doub't you'll regret it.

I looked at one the other day and immediately fell in love. If it wasn't for the fact I can't afford any more expensive guns for a while I would have bought it on the spot. I loved the size, look, weight and feel of it. I'm pretty sure my next big handgun purchase will be a 45c and I'm tempted to go back and put some money down on the one I looked at the other day.

HK45C is a must. The backstrap is adjustable to fit your hand. Long first pull is a good thing for me when not carrying with safety engaged. If you want to carry Cocked and Locked, then single action trigger is nice in my opinion. The gun is smooth, has little recoil, goes back on target easily, and is very accurate...oh...and RELIABLE too.

Went through a BUNCH of guns looking for my Holy Grail. I've found it in the HK45C. Did I say a BUNCH?

Recoil Reduction System in the HK45c makes it very comfortable for a compact. I have the fullsize, but it's one of the overall finest guns I've ever owned. Congrats!
