Well I have to sell 1 of my handguns :mad:which 1 would you sell?
Sig P226 CPO or Glock 17? Really don't want to sell either of them but 1 has to go for personal reasons to pay off something.

Honestly, the Glock 17 is to the 9mm composite as the Colt SAA was to the .45LC.

Keep the Glock 17. It is Accurate, Reliable and prectically Indestructible. TEh Sig is a nice gun but the Glock 17 i sBest in class IMHO.

You'll also likely get more for the Sig...if you need the money that is...the Glock won't get you more than $500, $450 more likely.

Both?

Not knowing what you use them for, what other guns you have, etc., it's really hard to say.

Are they both 9mm, I know the Glock is, but is The SIG? I prefer the DA/SA on the 226 with the exposed hammer, however the Glock magazines are almost indestructable, both are great firearms, tuff choice. My SIG is a .357 SIG and I have the conversion barrel for .40 S&W, like two pistols in one. The Glock I own is a G34 that I use for ISPC production class... Personally I would sell my plasma TV before selling any of my SIG's, or my Glock. The Glock is in my safe and the SIG is on my night stand (Tritium night sights on the SIG).

Whenever I've had to sell guns in the past, I've considered what would be easiest to replace later. If you intend to replace it sometime later, the Glock would likely be cheaper and easier to find.

If you are basing this on looks dump the Glock, better price then sell the SIG, but if you want to keep the better of the 2 keep the SIG dump the junk and move on to better pistols.

If you shoot one noticeably better than the other, then keep the one you shoot best. If you shoot both about the same then sell the one that has the most demand and/or market value in your area if you are able to determine that. That way you'll be more likely to get the best deal quickly.

Sell the alarm clock. Sell the set of luggage. Sell the blender and the pots and pans and the mixer. Sell the throw pillows and that set of encyclopedias you haven't looked at since the unexpected day that they walked into the house.

But never, ever, absolutely ever sell a gun of any stripe or variety. You'll kick yourself down the road ... and you'll also kick yourself tomorrow.

I've sold or traded off over 100 in my day...don't miss a single one of them...

I have to agree with varoadking. I never regretted getting rid of a gun I didn't like or didn't use. I've owned 9 handguns, but currently have 3. That's enough, as long as they're the right 3 handguns.

Since they're not, I'll be trading in two of the three during the next year in an effort to upgrade.

I'd keep the Sig, personally.

It was make sense to sell the glock because sig just doesnt hold its value. They are just over rated IMHO(thats going to start a fire)

IF you want your life to depend on a gun keep the glock

I've owned over 10 handguns in the past 3 years. This includes Glock 19, 27, 26, S&W .357 revolver, XD.40, XD.45, Kahr pm9,Walther P99 .40, H&K USP .40 Compact, Ruger LCP, Colt 1911, Kimber UCII, P2000sk 9mm....in that exact order.

I own 3 today, and don't regret selling the rest one single bit. The ones I still have are the H&K USPc, P2000sk, and the Ruger LCP stayed for pocket carry. In all honesty, I've never shot the Kimber but decided to throw it up for sale before even putting a single round through it. The reason? To buy the P2000sk:)

As you can tell, I like trying new things. However, the H&Ks were my last stop. They stood above the rest and really made an impression on me. I'll NEVER get rid of them. I won't miss the others a single bit.

I have never owned a Sig. They are great guns. I just never got around to buying one. I say keep the Sig, and ditch the Glock. Of course, since there are a billion glockaholics lurking this forum you are going to get the "keep the Glock!" responses. The best advice, however, is to keep the one that you enjoy shooting more. Good luck!

get rid of the one you don't like for some reason -- you don't shoot it well, it doesn't feel right in your hands, it has ever failed you, tough to find accessories or replacement parts -- whatever ;)

Dude, don't do it! Don't sell your guns. Instead just stop your mortgage payments. Uncle Sam will protect you.

The Glock will move faster, the Sig will bring more cash. If you were near Vegas- I'd make an offer on the Glock.

I would keep the Glock and dump the Sig...

Which one gets the closest to the needed price. No need to sell a gun for more than you need to pay off. But if both give you more money than needed, keep the more valuable one. That'll give you something to pass on to the next generation. I like sigs so sell the glock.

The Glock might be quicker to sell and easier to replace later.

I would follow the replacement theory. However, if one has any personal history.... keep that one.

I have several guns from my youth that I really wouldnt want to sell!
