Does anyone have any pictures of the Benelli with a standard (non PG) stock?

Thanks,
Steve

I just posted one the other day in the "Pictures of your Shotgun" thread.

Have got some here: http://www.demigod.org/~zak/pictures/rm3gm-2003-thumbnails.shtml

If you go to

http://www.benelli.it/Images/Image_Visualizza.asp?ID=836&Lan=EN

you'll jump right to a beautiful high-resolution (149KByte) image of the M1 Super 90 Tactical with standard stock, current-issue ghost ring sights, and +4 magazine extension, which IS a legal configuration here in the U.S. of A.

On my 21" monitor, it's pretty darn near life size.

If you're looking for the M1 Super 90 Field, here's a link to a high-res (111KByte) image showing the standard stock, sporting version:

Is this what you're looking for?

By the way, the M1S90 bolt carrier can easily be modified so you can load 7 + 1 in chamber + 1 under the bolt carrier for a total of 9.

Zak,

How do you modify it?

Steve,

There used to be a picture sequence somewhere on the web showing exactly what to do, but I was unable to find it just now.

Basically... If you remove the bolt carrier assembly from the M1S90 and put it upside-down on the table in front of you with the "tail" pointing towards you, you will notice a notch cut into the surface near the rear of the bolt on one side. When in the gun, this notch is in the bottom of the bolt carrier and is cut out of the surface that rides the upper receiver rails when the bolt cycles. The notch is what elevates the shell gate. If this rear notch is filled in with a suitable material (we used JB Weld for mine), the gate will not be triggered and you can load the extra round. Filling in the notch will make your bolt identical to the bolts before Benelli "discontinued" the feature several years ago.

There are also gunsmiths who can do it for you for about $50.

Note, if you have a post-ban gun with a pistol grip stock, this is a no-no due to magazine capacity issues and the AWB.
