I just bought one of these O/U today. Haven't done any shotgunning in years. A few friends have convinced me to go after pheasants and ducks. My gun club has some new lights on the trap range and are having Wed. evening shoots through the fall. I cleaned it up and ran out to the range to put a box of target loads through. Just shot at paper at 25-35 yards. Felt good. We'll see more in the morning.

I love my IZH27. Had it for about 3 years and it's never had a problem. Glad I bought it. Now my high dollar side-by-side (well- it really only cost 3-4 times my Baikal) lasted a year before a mainspring broke and the sear selector became misaligned. Someone once said of the Baikals: "Strong like bull." I'd buy another.
